-APOLLO JUSTICE CASE 2 SPOILERS-

Wocky Kitaki is the only son and heir of the wealthy Kitaki family, a notorious clan of gangsters in Los Angeles. His parents, Winfred "Big Wins" and Plum Kitaki, doted on him as a child, as he was their only son and would grow up to become head of the family some day. Thanks to this, he became somewhat spoiled, which led to Wocky's belief that he was pretty much the coolest thing ever.

From a young age, he was deeply invested in his family's gangster lifestyle. Even as a child, he wanted to get out on the streets and prove himself as a "real man". However, his parents were hesitant to let him run so freely, fearing for the safety of their only child. That didn't stop Wocky, however, who started sneaking out of the Kitaki mansion at night to run with his homies and defend their territory. His parents finally caught on, but by that time, there wasn't much they could do about it, so they let Wocky have free rein.

He got into scraps with rival families, especially the Kitakis' main enemy, the Rivales family, but was never seriously injured, yet another contributing factor to his arrogance. During one of those run-ins, he saved a girl from being shot and killed. Grateful, she began spending time with him, and they eventually started dating. The relationship didn't last long, but it was then that Wocky developed his affinity for girls that needed protecting.

One day when he was 19, he got into a fight with a rival gang, the Rivales family, in which he was shot in the chest. The bullet did not hit his heart, but ended up lodged dangerously close to it. He was sent to the Meraktis clinic, a clinic with close ties to the Kitaki family that dealt with all of their gang-related injuries. While he was recovering there, he met Alita Tiala, the head nurse, who seemed to be unhappy with her job. Wocky fell in love with her and offered to take her away from the clinic when he left. She accepted, proposing that they marry soon, and he agreed.

Though Dr. Meraktis performed surgery on Wocky, all he did was sew him up. He left the bullet in his chest, because it would have been too dangerous to remove it due to its proximity to the heart and major blood vessels -- even a slight mistake could kill Wocky. However, he did not notify the Kitakis about this, fearing their wrath, and simply sent Wocky back home with a bullet still in him, locking up the case reports in his safe. Unfortunately, though Wocky and the Kitakis had no idea, Wocky only had about six months from that time to live because the bullet would move slightly and end up puncturing something. Little did they know, also, that Alita knew about this, and it was the entire reason that she wanted to marry Wocky -- right after their marriage, he would die, and she would be the heir to the Kitaki family's enormous fortune.

Nearly six months later, Wocky went in for a checkup, only to discover that the bullet was still in his chest and that Dr. Meraktis had not removed it after all. He became angry at the "quack doctor" and took a gun out of the Kitaki family's house, telling Alita he was going to kill Meraktis. At the same time, his parents began to turn away from their previous lifestyle to raise "clean money" for an operation to save his life. Wocky didn't realize why they were doing this and only got more angry at them for "running away" from the gangster life.

Alita managed to get Wocky's gun, and went off to confront Meraktis himself to demand he destroy Wocky's health reports, as they would reveal her true motive for marrying him. Wocky gave up on trying to find the gun and headed out to find Meraktis, taking a knife with him instead. He ran into Meraktis in the nearby People Park; the doctor panicked and tried to tell Wocky about Alita's real motive, but Alita shot and killed him from a hiding spot before he could. Startled, Wocky dropped his knife and ran from the scene, and was arrested the next day.

Alita approached the lawyer Apollo Justice and asked him to defend Wocky in the trial. Apollo agreed; Wocky, however, was not afraid to stand trial and did not care if he was declared guilty, and and the next day in trial, he took the stand to tell the court his motive. He angrily told the court about the incident involving Meraktis's failure to remove the bullet or tell the Kitakis, saying he was glad the doctor was dead. Eventually, though, Apollo was able to get a not guilty verdict for Wocky after Alita confessed to everything.

However, Wocky himself was not so happy about the verdict. He got angry at Apollo for getting his "Alita-baby" sent to prison, and started to get angry at his father again for "going clean". But Apollo and his father explained to Wocky the seriousness of his condition and the reason they had been trying to raise clean money -- to pay for his lifesaving operation. Shocked, Wocky was speechless for once, but quickly turned back into his old self, insulting his father and storming out of the courthouse. However, his father is satisfied and lets him go, believing that once Wocky is the head of the Kitaki family, he will understand.

Wocky believes heartfeltedly in the gangster lifestyle, speaking in a gangster fashion and willing to defend his family's turf and/or their honor. He considers himself "bad" and thinks it's cool. He is loud, brash, and doesn't think before speaking most of the time, never hesitating to insult someone.

He is very easily angered and will immediately defend anyone he has ties to, like his family or Alita. However, he does care for his parents, even if he disagrees with their decision to turn to the straight life, as he views their giving up of the gangster lifestyle as cowardly. He also genuinely cares for Alita, his fiancé, showing a different, calmer, happier side when he talks or thinks about her, and getting angry at Apollo for her arrest even though it was obvious she was guilty.

Wocky thinks of himself as "manly" or a "true man". He says that he's not worried about getting arrested or the possibility of a guilty verdict because it's "part of the gangster life", and claims the bullet lodged in his chest doesn't scare him and that part of being a man is being prepared to die at any time.

He's a bit dense, as he doesn't realize why his parents were trying to make clean money, and doesn't realize what the fact that Alita married him even though he was about to die means. He also has a sweet tooth and likes "girls that need protecting", as they undoubtedly let him be more manly and cool and able to save them from danger.
